WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

An active and attending member of Zion Hill Baptist Church by January 1, 2023 (First Sunday of 2023)

 

  • A student of active parents or guardians at the church

  • An active student is defined as:

    • Participating in outreach at least 2 times in a 12-month period

  • High school graduating senior or college student currently enrolled (full-time- fall semester) in an accredited undergraduate college program or trade school, or

  • Students enrolling in a (full-time) program at an accredited college or trade school who have graduated from high school within the past four years are eligible.

  • Previous financial aid recipients are eligible to re-apply annually up to four years. Additional criteria stated on the application regarding eligibility.

APPLICATION SUBMISSION PROCESS

All parts of the application must be submitted for consideration. Please review the submission checklist for each scholarship.

 

Part 1: ZHBC EDUCATIONAL AID APPLICATION FORM: Complete online beginning May 1, 2024

 

Part 2: SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY: Complete via Online Application in Section 2

**Please note each Scholarship has a unique Essay topic and word count requirement., located in Section 6 and can be submitted after the General Educational Aid Form has been submitted.

 

Part 3: CHARACTER RECOMMENDATION: Scan and upload in Section 3 of Online Application

 

Part 4: MINISTRY PARTICIPATION FORM: Scan and upload in Required Documents Section of Online Application

 

Part 5: ACADEMIC ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION FORM: Completed and sent directly from Registrar

Before funds are disbursed (or paid) to students, each applicant must have the Academic Verification Form completed by the college/school Registrar’s Office on the school’s letterhead. The registrar should define full-time status and validate the student’s status as of Fall 2024. The Registrar’s verification on school stationery should be mailed directly to Zion Hill Baptist Church before December 2, 2024.

 

Applicants will need to provide the Registrar’s Office with a stamped addressed envelope with the following address:

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION AND AWARD DEADLINES

Review Process: All applications that are submitted by the deadline will be reviewed to ensure each applicant meets the stated criteria.

 

ALL CRITERIA MUST BE MET :: NO APPLICATION WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE DEADLINE.

 

  • 2024 SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION AVAILABLE:                APRIL 7, 2024

  • ONLINE SUBMISSION PORTAL OPENS:                                 MAY 1, 2024

  • APPLICATION DEADLINE:                                                         JUNE 24, 2024

  • *MINISTRY PARTICIPATION FORM:                                       DECEMBER 2, 2024

  • *ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION:                                              DECEMBER 2, 2024

*These forms must be submitted before funds can be disbursed. Forms not received on or before the deadline will forfeit the scholarship award.
